Myleene heads back to the jungle

Myleene Klass is ready to take the US by storm after signing a £100,000 deal to present the NBC version of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! She clearly thinks she’s been away from the bush for too long.

The alluring classical musician/pop star/model/presenter’s bikini-tastic antics nearly made her Queen of the Jungle on the ITV version of the show in 2006. However, she was pipped in a thrilling final by tattooed Busted strummer Matt Willis.

While Myleene is clearly keen to crack it in the States, she’s had to do a bit of juggling with her diary. The hardest working woman in showbiz (possibly) has had to find a way of getting round her modelling work for Marks & Spencer, her radio show on Classic FM and filming for Channel 4 makeover show 10 Years Younger

It seems that NBC bosses plumped for Mylers after seeing her present a cinema show on otherwise-slightly-tedious news channel CNN. While she’s currently hanging around yachts and munching cakes at the Cannes International Film Festival, she’ll be jetting off to Costa Rica this weekend to start work on the show, which launches on 1 June. .

Among the Stateside A-listers who’ll be camping it up are Sanjaya Malakar (you know – him off American Idol…), actors Stephen Baldwin and Lou Diamond Phillips, and a familiar (if slightly worked-on) face – Janice Dickinson, who graced the UK version in 2007. ABC ran a series of the show back in 2003, which was won by Cris Judd, the all-dancing former hubby of J-Lo.
